Corporate Department Mission Statement:

To assist the corporate traveler to plan and execute business travel easily economically and conveniently.

For many companies, travel and entertainment represent the third largest controllable cost of doing business. As travel professionals, we understand that providing the most cost effective use of your travel dollar is one of our most important responsibilities.

Airline tickets, hotel stays and car rentals comprise the majority of your travel budget. Brookfield Travel can control, monitor and potentially reduce these expenditures through adherence to your corporate travel policy. We will work with you to establish negotiated purchasing contracts with suppliers, management reporting for travel expenditures and utilization of our staff for travel planning.

Corporate Business Objective

One of your business objectives is to control and account for expenses. Brookfield Travel will assist you in meeting this objective by establishing and implementing a corporate travel policy that is acceptable to both your travelers and your bottom line.

Brookfield Travel will also provide management reports that will help you monitor and control expenses. These reports will help identify trends and could result in additional savings from the airlines, car rental companies and/or hotel chains.

We will provide management reports that will help you monitor expenses and identify trends that can be leveraged into concessions from service providers.

  • Develop and/or assist you in implementation of a cost-effective travel policy.
  • Provide statistical travel reports to aid in formulating travel policy and controlling costs.

  • Negotiate with car rental companies for preferred rates for you.

  • Communicate with your staff to provide information on leisure travel opportunities through emails and faxes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for volume discounts for group travel.
  • Coordinate air, lodging, transportation and tours for groups.
  • Organize and conduct travel seminars for travelers and travel arrangers.
  • Provide access to software products that provide both cost and convenience advantages to corporate travelers

Customer service hours

Brookfield Travel staffing during normal business hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

To ensure responsiveness to your travelers contracted staff is used outside of normal business hours. Thor 24 is staffed by travel professionals and has electronic access to your policy and profiles. Travelers can use these services for itinerary changes, emergency ticketing, lost credit cards, lost passports, lost luggage and any other unexpected travel problems. Contact information is found on all itineraries.

The following reports can be provided on a monthly basis:

  • Fare savings and exception report
  • Credit card summary report
  • Vendor reports: air, hotel, car rental
  • Geographic report
  • Passenger name record report
  • Outstanding tickets report

Other reports and/or alternate time-frames are available upon request. (Additional service fees may apply depending upon the nature of the request).

Star Service

Brookfield Travel subscribes to the Star Service, which provides timely evaluation of hotel properties throughout the world. The service provides photographs, maps and diagrams of hotel properties. This service allows your travelers to select a hotel based on multiple criteria.

Contract Negotiations

Brookfield Travel will review your travel history and negotiate on your behalf with major airline, hotel and car suppliers for discounted rates. Discounts appropriate to high volume usage will then pass on to you. Brookfield Travel will also apply nationally negotiated, American Express rates as appropriate. Brookfield Travel will implement any currently negotiated discount agreements between you and travel suppliers.

Brookfield Travel is also a Funjet 500 Club member and a Golden Apple Award recipient. As such we are occasionally able to offer unadvertised specials to leisure travelers, should you wish we will make these offers available to your staff.

Nancy is the manager of the corporate department. She is recognized for her exceptional customer service. Nancy has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the U.S. A corporate agent since 1994, she has developed expertise in complicated international itinerary planning and fare structures.
