What does “All-inclusive”Mean?
“All-inclusive” means, that you pay one up-front price that includes: Tips and hotel taxes at the resort, transfers to and from the resort, your room, three meals per day, beverages (including alcoholic drinks), beach towels and lounge chairs, entertainment and some activities. However some resorts are “More inclusive” and may include 24-hour room service, laundry service, water skiing, etc. Some resorts may be “Less Inclusive” with just the meals and non-alcoholic beverages included with just a few activities. Every resort has some optional, extra cost items available!
Spa services, motorized water-sports like Jet-skis and Parasailing are usually not included. Some resorts may have optional wine list, optional dining extras, and optional golf packages, upgrade packages and more. Check out the property, (note the difference between “available” or “included”) and ask your travel agent if you still have questions. If you don’t see it in writing it probably is not included!

HOW MUCH does an all-inclusive vacation cost?
Prices vary greatly depending on the resort selected, room category selected, location, amenities offered (such as sight seeing, golf, diving etc.), time of year you are traveling and any special incentives offered. All inclusive resort pricing averages $125 to over $1000 per day per person. A good value all-inclusive property will charge at least $200 per day/per person.

Will I be Safe?
All-inclusive resorts have security to protect their clients and to keep out people who don’t belong at the resort. Using “Common sense” while traveling will keep you safe.
• Leave your valuables in your safe in your room
• Use the resort’s “Tour Desk” to book your off-site adventures. It’s those “Out-of-the-way that should be avoided.

The “Tour Desk”. can arrange for tours to the most popular tourist attractions near your resort including anything from rain forest tours to shopping tours and day cruises at additional cost.

We will give you our best price on our first call. Keep in mind the lowest price is not necessarily the best value.

Is there a discount for booking multiple rooms?
Group discounts are available at many resorts if the party books 10 or more rooms. If you have a large group of 20 or more rooms, and you are looking to travel during the peak season you should start making arrangements 9-months to 2-years in advance

What are the payment requirements?

Depending on the trip and the package offered, the normal deposit payment requirement is between $100-$400 down per person due immediately, the balance is due 60 days before departure. Some Holiday trips require much larger deposits or full payment at time of booking. Most clients pay with a credit card, however we also accept checks (if booked early enough), money orders, and cash.

What are the cancellation or change fees?
Cancellation fees and “booking change” fees will vary. Most packages have a $50.00 cancellation fee if the trip is cancelled more than 60 days before travel, 59-30 days $200 per person, 30-15 days 50% of the total cost, 14 days or less 100% forfeiture. Brookfield Travel recommends that you purchase travel insurance. Check with your agent for the exact details of the trip you are purchasing and what travel insurance covers.

How much extra money do I need to bring with me?

At the resort you will need little or no money at all! Tipping is not allowed at many resorts. We have many clients that have told us that they have spent less than 50 dollars during a whole week! Other clients want to do everything and have spent several hundred dollars per person, excluding souvenirs.

Typical activities that are "not included":
• Jet Skiing ...usually $40-$60 dollars per half hour.
• Para-sailing $60-$90 dollars a ride.
• Catamaran cruises $35-$90 dollars depending on the trip.
• Scenic tours around the island $30-$50 dollars half day and double that for a full day.
• Souvenirs

It is customary to bargain with the locals on the beach in the straw markets or in the tourist shopping centers on just about everything. Always be polite, smile, and have some fun! Don't be afraid to walk away. Just say "Thank You! I'll look some more", and start walking…they may follow you to close the deal.

For duty free items expect to pay 75% of the price you would pay stateside. If duty-free item’s prices seem too good to be true they are probably knock-offs [other than liquor]

Is there extra cost for some meals and or some drinks?

At some resorts everything you see is included, and others there may be some additional charges. Additional costs my be involved with some wines, special dining service, or spa services.

Do I get a discount if I don’t drink alcoholic beverages?

No. In fact exotic, tropical alcoholic drinks are also available without the alcohol. (Example “Virgin Piná Colada” is made without the Rum).
